A beautiful quiet spot along the river Little Ouse.
This is a beautiful quiet spot along the river Little Ouse. Grey wagtails breed along here not a hugely common bird in Norfolk, Kingfishers are often seen. Crossbills and Woodlarks are around. Lesser Spotted woodpecker breed along the rive here. Willow Tits are occasionally reported but beware Marsh Tits are far commoner. Spotted flycatcher can be seen around the bridge in summer . St Helen’s picnic site is a traditional spot for Brambling in winter and there were over 200 there in winter 2009/10
