This site can be accessed on foot from the salthouse beach car park or by taking the iron road north of the coast road just west of the village of salthouse. The site contains reedbed, grazing meadows and salt and fresh water pools. You should see Marsh Harriers here, Barn Owl are often seen hunting early and late in the day and waders can be plentiful.

Norfolks only Litte Whimbrel was found here in 1985 this represented the 2nd record for Britain and none have been seen since.
